Surviving with bladder cancer management of psychological distress (#22)
In the US, more than 70,000 new diagnoses of bladder cancer occur each year, with more than 500,000 persons living as bladder cancer survivors. Approximately 70% of these new diagnoses are nonmuscle-invasive disease, which requires an ongoing invasive monitoring process. We present data from a mixed-method cross-sectional study of nonmuscle disease survivors on the psychological burden of disease, including general and disease-specific anxiety and recommendations for clinic-based distress screening and management.
