Dr Addie Wootten is a clinical psychologist who specialises in the area of urology. She holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from Monash University and works in the department of urology at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and at Australian Prostate Cancer Research and the Epworth Prostate Centre in a clinical and research capacity. In her clinical role Addie commonly works with patients living with prostate cancer. Her work often focuses on issues such as erectile dysfunction, masculine identity, relationship difficulty, and issues of anxiety and depression. Her research focus is on the health and wellbeing of a range of people living with cancer with particular focus on men with prostate cancer. She has authored a number of peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters and is also the principal investigator of a number of research projects funded by the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, beyondblue and the Victorian Cancer Agency.
