Jane M Ussher is Professor of Women’s Health Psychology, in the Centre for Health Research, School of Medicine, at the University of Western Sydney. She has published widely on the construction and lived experience of health, in particular gendered mental health, the reproductive body and sexuality. She has extensive experience of research in psycho-oncology, including the experience of cancer support groups, the needs of cancer carers, cancer and sexuality, and fertility concerns after cancer. She is currently conducting research on gay and bisexual men’s experience of sexuality and identity after prostate cancer, funded by PCFA, in conjunction with ANZUP.
