Dr Mahesha Weerakoon MBBS Dr Weerakoon is currently a Urology Research Fellow working as part of the CAPTIV grant for active surveillance. She is involved in investigating the patterns of care in active surveillance in localized prostate cancer of a contemporary cohort of Victorian men. This work will be in conjunction with the Victorian Prostate Cancer Registry and the Cancer Council Victoria. Dr Weerakoon graduated with an MBBS from Monash University in 2006. She completed her internship and residency at Austin Health, and then went on to commence basic surgical training in Urology through St Vincent’s Health. She has an interest in research and has published in the field of Urology and is now working full time with the CAPTIV VCA Collaboration.
